Why take apart a new Porsche Motor?  When you need to replace the engine in your car you have many options.  In the case of this replacement, the owner wanted some increased performance AND reliability with his new Porsche motor.  Many parts were not salvageable from the failed motor, so financially it was beneficial to purchase an new shortblock directly from Porsche.

We took apart this brand new Porsche 996 short block so that we could increase displacement and improve longevity by sleeving the crankcase and installing custom CP Pistons made specifically for Turn3 Autosport.  There is a host of other upgrades going into this motor as well.
